Plans were approved to flatten the car wash outlet on Princes Road and make way for two new high spec units.
A derelict workshop site in a prime location in Wells was to be developed to provide retail space for a fast food outlet and a pet products superstore.
The existing steel framed shed and the existing floor slab were removed to allow the construction of a new single span steel portal frame building with a glazed front gable screen.
The building was designed to the maximum span that the width of the site would allow with the constraints of boundary conditions on three sides. Two sides were adjacent to a Council car park and the other to a commercial building and yard.
Retaining walls were provided to accommodate the level changes across the site and a service yard for the two commercial spaces was created to the rear elevation.
